Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are Officially Engaged!

She said YES! That's right, triple threat  Jennifer Lopez is engaged to baseball legend Alexander Rodriguez. We've been waiting for this to happen and we're so glad the happy couple is taking their relationship to the next level.

After two years of dating, the two announced their engagement via Instagram on Sunday when they both posted this---and can we just say...WOWZA check out that ring!

Let's Talk About that Bling...

Don't be fooled by the rocks that she got, our girl Jenny from the block's engagement ring is said to be worth well over 5 million dollars! (Claps for A-rod ? ? ?) Her emerald cut engagement ring is so stunning, and is estimated to be about 15 carats!  A style that used to be more popular in the 1920s, emerald cut stones are definitely making a comeback, with stars such as Beyonce and Amal Clooney also sporting the same cut of stone.

How it All Started...

We're totally obsessed with J-lo and A-rod, but these two go further back than you think! In fact, the baseball player was a huge fan of this Jennifer Lopez for the longest time, and even recently served us a throwback of when Jennifer signed a poster for him over 20 years ago! It's really true when they say, timing is EVERYTHING.

Now, fast forward two decades and the two are inseparable, walking on red carpets together, vacationing, working out, and of course...taking selfies.

How Did They Meet?

According to E! News, these two Leo's first officially met in 2005 when J-lo was still with her first husband Marc Anthony---but didn't start dating until 2017.

Their History...

Both J-lo and A-rod have similar pasts when it comes to love and relationships, and they were both married before and have children. Jennifer Lopez first tied the knot to singer Marc Anthony back in 2004 and have two kids together.  The couple only lasted a few years though and spilt back in 2011.

Alex Rodriguez was married to Cynthia Scurtis back in 2002.  They also have two kids together but divorced back in 2018.

Fast forward to March 2017, when Jennifer and Alex first started dating after her long-term relationship with Casper Smart.  Jennifer and Alex, in fact, had been pretty low-key for about a year, but finally made their first red carpet debut together at the Met Gala.

From Low-key to High-key

Since then, J-lo and A-rod have been one of our favorite Instagram couples!  They are super supportive of each other and their careers (J-lo showing up for Alex's baseball games, and A-rod always backstage supporting his girl on tour).

They are also super family-oriented and love spending time with both of their kids. We're so excited for this beautiful couple and can't wait to hear all about the wedding details! Congrats to J-lo and Arod!
